Collagen & elastin
Collagen is the most important structural protein of the skin and fulfills many functions to maintain the elasticity and flexibility of the skin. During lifetime, the own collagen production unfortunately decreases, many notice that the facial skin is not as tight as it used to be when they were younger. The combination of collagen and elastin simultaneously makes the skin elastic and tear-resistant, as the properties of the two structural proteins complement one another. Contains a cream both collagen and elastin it is optimally moisturized and gives it back its full and youthful appearance. The goal should be not only to add collagen to the skin from the outside, this is anyway only possible to a lesser extent, but above all to boost the skin's own collagen production, so that the skin gains elasticity from the inside.
Ceramide
Ceramides form lipid layers in the horny layer of the skin and are thus a natural skin barrier, which protects the skin from drying out and prevents the ingress of foreign substances. Dysregulation may result in dry skin, which can cause wrinkles prematurely.
Retinol
Retinol is a form of Vitamin A that contains beneficial properties for our skin. It smoothes the skin, builds the structure from the inside and refines the complexion. So it's an all-round talent for our skin. Retinol products should preferably be applied in the evening or during the day, if any, to apply a sunscreen because they have a light peeling effect that removes the uppermost skin layer and leaves the skin otherwise defenseless against the sun.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is known primarily as an antioxidant. Vitamin C eliminates aggressive free radicals, make pigmentation and scars to show less extreme and make the appearance of the skin more even and radiant. Vitamin C products should be kept away from the sun and heat, possibly in the refrigerator, so that their antioxidant effect persists.
Hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the human body. It is an important component of various connective tissue types and joints. The body's own production of hyaluronic acid decreases with increasing age. Applied to the skin in anti-wrinkle cream, it binds water and ensures that it is stored in the connective tissue for a long time. The skin looks firmer and tight, it helps to prevent wrinkles or reduce them a bit.
But as so often it depends on a combination of ingredients
There is virtually no pure hyaluronic acid or elastin cream, but mostly combinations of the most effective anti-aging ingredients combined in an anti-aging cream or anti-aging serum. Therefore, look for combi-preparations that are fully packed with pure, effective ingredients.
Power Combination: Snail Slime - Did you know?
Snail slime contains lots of skin-active ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, collagen, proteoglyclan, iron, copper peptides and zinc. Through the ingredients collagen and hyaluronic acid the snail filtrate gets its moisturizing anti-aging effect. The snail secretion promotes the formation of the skin's own collagen and elastin. Collagen makes the skin more elastic and firm, because it binds moisture that is so important to the skin. The elastin smoothes the skin and makes it look younger. In addition, the snail filtrate has an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect due to the copper peptides and the zinc. Probably the most well-known Snail series has the company Benton with the Snail Bee combination brought into the market. The highly potent products contain, in addition to the snail filtrate another power ingredient: Bee venom, bestsellers from the series are e.g. the Benton Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream or the Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence
Galactomyces
Galactomyces (fermented yeast) was discovered by chance in the production of sake. Already aging employees had strikingly soft and well-groomed skin on their hands, while their remaining skin was wrinkled and corresponding to their age. Fermentation refers to a fermentation process in which an organic substance is broken down into sugars and proteins. During this process important substances are created for the skin such as: amino acids, enzymes, vitamins and flavonoids. These active ingredients gained from the fermentation process are better absorbed by the skin and penetrate deeper. Galactomyces in combination with hyaluronic acid is found e.g. in the Benton Fermentation Eye Cream and softens the sensitive skin around the eyes and smoothes light lines, wrinkles can be filled up a bit.
